Please add your ideas concerning the CUWL June conference. The conference will include approx. 130 library staff from all UW campuses. Ideas for keynote speakers, topics to cover, or anything else are welcome. Do you find this valuable?

Some topic/speaker ideas we have discussed:
- Social networking tools: Susan Gibbons from U of Rochester; Terri Muraski (UWSP) offered to lead a discussion
- Blackwell experience
- Library Dynamics
- MetaLib assessment: staff from Northwestern or U of Minnesota who have assessed their implementations and can also discuss how they deal with the regular upkeep on the backend
- Technical roundtable: bring your questions, share your solutions
- Update from the Madison Task Force on resource discovery tools
- Steve Meyer's (UW-Madison) presentation on Making Your Catalog Data Work Harder
- Brief update reports from each coordinating committee

From UW-La Crosse, some of the suggestions which are been floated are:

• Library Dynamics & integrated collection development
• next generation library catalog
• cataloging best practices—or other functional area best practices
• future of resource sharing
• iSkills and information literacy assessment
• LibQUAL+ experiences, outcomes and follow-up measures

The idea is to focus in on those topics which are specific to UW System and our common strategic directions and which would complement rather than compete with other conference opportunities provided by WLA & WiLS.

The conference is a great opportunity for staff engage with each other and, especially, to become engaged in our system-wide initiatives. Do you find this valuable?
