To begin the evaluation of UB's effectiveness within UW System, the UB Working Group would like to follow up on the work of last year's CUWL UB Working Group by updating the settings chart which everyone filled out in November, 2006 (see attached). This chart requests information from each library regarding UB loan periods; who is allowed to place UB requests; replacement and processing fees charged; when notices and bills are sent out; if recalls are allowed; maximum lost item, requests, and charges; and if your library uses August 30th as a semester due date for faculty loans.

Did your library make changes to your UB settings as a result of the CUWL-approved recommendations of last year's UB Working Group? The UB recommendations from March, 2007 and July, 2006 are attached here for your convenience. An updated copy of the UB settings chart will be posted when all of the libraries have sent in their changes or confirmed that their settings are the same as they were previously.
