Web 2.0 Teleconference

We're defining Web 2.0 as any technology that encourages or allows particiation by Library patrons
ex. blogs
RSS feeds
gadgets/widgets
wikis
Social Networks
Flickr
Tagging
Im-ing

Step One:
We will each contact other UW libraries to inquire about:
What Web 2.0 tools they're using?
What are you planning to use?
When did they start?
Why did they choose (or not choose) Web 2.0 tools?
What are they expecting to gain or achieve from these tools
Have they done any assessment? If so what are the results showing?

Leah will contact about six Madison Libraries: two big, two small, and two subject specialty
Patricia will contact at least six of UW Colleges Libraries
Nick & Barb will contact the remaining UW Libraries

Step Two:
We will all work on a Literature Review on Web 2.0. This will not be conprehensive and should also include blogs and othe online information.

We should all post our results on the Wiki following an "annotated bibliographic" format

All of these tasks should be completed in advance of our next meeting which will be sometime between March 3rd and March 10th.
