Based on our January meeting the Digital Plan will have the following components:

1. A description of the digital activities UW is involved in (including WHO, Google). Information from specific programs might include statements from those program as how they see their program's role in System.
1.5 Detailed descriptions of UWDC and Minds describing their respective roles, and selection criteria

2.Discussion of Needs - How will we determine the needs of System. Discovering unmet needs.

3.Technical/ R&D - Priorities. Madison and CUWL may not be in agreement on these. Discussion will be based on current situation though some future forecasts may be included, acknowledging that much can change.

4.Collection Development- One question that needs to be discussed is how much harvesting should we do. Again, this'll be based on the now and will look to the future.

5. Measuring success. Need to define what success means for our digital activities.

6. Planning head.

Other issues to address: How do our activities relate to reserves? How will we deal with things IN copyright. Do we develop a program to deal with copyrighted material?
Do you find this valuable?
