Presentation will describe how the University of Rochester, River Campus Libraries have been using anthropological and ethnographic methodologies to study their primary users-- students and faculty.   Bill Doering, La Crosse Come and see and comment on the electronic resource management (ERM) system (http://murphylibrary.uwlax.edu/erm/) which I have written using MS Access. It will be made freely available to those who are interested. I will also show the web-accessible electronic resource price sharing project which La Crosse is hosting which allows other UW libraries to post, view and compare financial information for their and UW licensed subscriptions. What should the 'catalog' of the future look like? What resources will it include? Join Stephen Meyer as he introduces us to 'SaneCat - a catalog prototype that he created (on his free time!). Then join Sue Dentinger and Kelli Keclik as they introduce us to various tools such as Endeca and Aquabrowser. They will discuss the pros and cons of vendor supplied products vs. open source, faceted searching, and review the resource discovery literature.(SF) Jean Intro
